We had a wonderful Mother's Day Sunday at a secret picnic spot! My husband had asked weeks back what I "wanted" for Mother's Day and much to his surprise, I didn't ask for any extravagant gifts...well, I really never do anyway...it's not my style...but I asked him to build a lemonade stand. I already had a crazy plan in my mind....everything lemon and yellow were going through my brain at warp speed. Much to my surprise for a mere $12 in lumber and a few free pallets from a sweet friend, I had the best lemonade stand a mommy could ask for....well, really I shouldn't be surprised, because that hubby of mine is super duper crafty and can build most anything!!
I made yummy lemon themed treats...daddy packed up a yummy picnic lunch and we loaded up and headed out to our favorite picnic spot and had THE BEST day ever. NO really, I mean it...THE BEST day ever...the kids were PERFECT, did not fight, argue, moan, groan...not one single bit...it was such a beautiful, perfect day!!
Iced Cold Fresh Organic Lemonade....it was Divine!!
Mason jars with fresh lemons and striped yellow straws made for the sweetest glass of lemonade ever. The kids loved refilling our jugs for us!
Cupcakes, cakepops, lemon bars and ice cold lemonade were definitely the highlight of the picnic
And the very best part....these super sweet sweeties of mine behaved the BEST, making my day super special!!
